Obama's a??Community Organizera?? Days Are a Joke

Rudy Giuliani had me in stitches during his red-meat keynote address at the GOP convention. I laughed out loud when Giuliani laughed out loud while noting Barack Obama's deep experience as a “community organizer." I laughed again when VP nominee and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin cracked: “I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a ‘community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities.

Both Rudy Giuliani and Sarah Palin specifically mocked Barack's experience as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago more than two decades ago, where he worked with people who had lost jobs and been left behind when the local steel plants closed. Let's clarify something for them right now. Community organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies.

What deserves derision is “community organizing” that relies on a community of homeless people and ex-cons to organize for the purpose of registering dead people to vote, shaking down corporations and using the race card as a bludgeon.

I have been in a good mood all day long because of this, the Dems call it "inexperience and rhetoric"... Listening to McCain and Palin today reminded me of Reagan's tone, now THAT'S change and hope we CAN believe in.

 

 

Iran
Oil prices spiked today on news that an American ship fired on two Iranian gunboats after they failed to respond to radio signals and came within 100 yards of the American vessel. A Navy spokesman said their behavior was similar to that of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which has taken to harassing allied ships in the Persian Gulf. A year ago, Iranian Revolutionary Guard naval forces seized 15 British sailors in a blatant provocation on the eve of “president” Ahmadinejad’s visit to the United Nations to defend his rogue nuclear program. In January of this year, several Iranian gunboats approached a U.S. warship and dropped “small, boxlike objects in the water,” which turned out to be harmless. Many interpreted the Iranian action as a “dry run,” probing U.S. reaction to a situation reminiscent of the attack on the USS Cole.

The radical Left and the conspiracy theorists insist that President Bush is looking to provoke Iran, just itching for any excuse to attack. All the evidence, however, clearly points to the contrary. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, like Adolf Hitler, is a deranged madman who believes he is paving the way for the return of the Islamic messiah after an apocalyptic confrontation with the West. He is a Holocaust-denier who promised to bring about another holocaust by “wiping Israel off the map.” We must confront this reality and stop living in denial by assuming the worst about America, while hoping for the best from our enemies.

A year ago, when radio “shock jock” Don Imus made an inappropriate and implicitly racist three-word remark about the Rutgers’ women’s basketball team, he was lambasted by everyone from Al Sharpton to many of the presidential candidates. Imus ended up losing his job.

Fast forward one year. Last week, a few days before Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to America, TV talk show host Bill Maher went on a profanity-laden tirade against the Pope and the Catholic Church. On his HBO “Real Time” program, Maher claimed that the Pope “used to be a Nazi,” and called the Catholic Church a “child-abusing religious cult” and the “Bear Stearns of organized pedophilia.”
Never mind that Benedict was forcibly conscripted into the German Youth organization as a young boy, as all German boys were. Or that Pope Benedict’s father was anti-Nazi, and that Benedict often listened to Allied radio broadcasts for which he could have been sent to a concentration camp. Those are inconvenient truths.

We can hardly expect more from a man such as Maher, who brags, “I have hated the church way before anyone else” and calls Jesus a “2,000 year-old space god.”  he referred to Mother Theresa as “a whore.”  On Friday, Maher “apologized” for his lie about the Pope being a Nazi, but then went on to suggest that the Pope should be thrown in jail.

Maher fashions himself as a comedian ,not a funny one though, who pushes the envelope to get laughs. Of course, if he really wanted to provoke, perhaps he would target institutions that rarely get criticized—Hollywood, the media, radical Islam—instead of one he knows he can slander with impunity.

Negotiation With Evil

Former President Jimmy Carter is in the Middle East this week making a mockery of Western resolve to defeat Islamofascism. Carter is scheduled to meet with Hamas leader Khalid Meshal in Damascus on Friday, a meeting he tried to justify by saying, “I’m just trying to understand different opinions and provide communication between people. …So I think if he does have anything constructive to say…then I would bring that to other people.” For those who may not fully comprehend Hamas or the man Jimmy Carter wants to “understand,” here’s a quote from Meshal in 2006: “Before Israel dies, it must be humiliated and degraded. Allah willing, before they die, they will experience humiliation and degradation every day. Allah willing, we will make them lose their eyesight, we will make them lose their brains.” How “constructive” is that?

Yesterday, Carter hugged and kissed a leading Hamas official and honored the terrorist thug Yasser Arafat by laying a wreath on his grave. Of course, the former president is not authorized by the U.S. government or anyone else to negotiate anything. But his decision to sit down with the leaders of Hamas, a group that has the blood of innocent Israelis and Americans on its hands, is deeply disturbing. Hamas has one overarching goal -- the destruction of the state of Israel. Along with Ahmadinejad of Iran, Hamas desires a second Holocaust. On what basis does one negotiate with such evil?

Meanwhile, the Palestinian ambassador to Lebanon, Abbas Zaki, said last week on Lebanese television, “…after we take Jerusalem, Israel’s ideology will collapse altogether, and then we will proceed with our own ideology, if Allah wills, and we will throw them [Jewish Israelis] out of all Palestine.” Also last week, Yunis al-Astal, an imam and Hamas member of parliament, told Palestinian worshippers in a sermon Friday, “Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was…” He described Rome as “the Crusader capital, which … has planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestine in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam,” and declared that it would become “an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas…”

Jimmy Carter and other leftists who insist on appeasing our Islamofascist enemies have failed to learn the lessons of history and seem determined to repeat its worst mistakes. At least one member of Congress has had enough of Carter’s foreign policy freelancing. Citing a 1981 Supreme Court decision in Haig v. Agee, Rep. Sue Myrick (R-NC) today called on Secretary of State Rice to revoke Carter’s passport. We will do what we can to help Rep. Myrick succeed in this effort!

  

The Real Obama Shows Up In San Francisco

If you go to the most expensive private school in Hawaii and then move on to Colombia University and Harvard Law School, you may not understand normal Americans -- that's the impression created by Senator Barack Obama's recent comments.

For Obama, it seems, the beliefs of normal Americans are so alien to his leftwing viewpoint that he has to seek some psychological explanation for what he thinks are weird ideas. They can't really believe in the right to bear arms. They can't really believe in traditional marriage. They can't really believe in their faith in God. They can't really want to enforce the law on immigration. And because ordinary Americans can't really believe these things, they must just be bitter and frustrated.

This is the closest Senator Obama has come to openly sharing his wife's view that "America is a mean country." Not since 1988 Democratic presidential nominee Mike Dukakis have we seen anyone so out of touch with normal Americans. It makes perfect sense that it was at a fundraiser in San Francisco that he would have shared the views he has so carefully kept hidden for the entire campaign.

As Obama put it: "(T)hey get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

The rich liberals must have nearly fainted at the revelation that the denizens of small towns in Pennsylvania have absolutely no concern for the rich's ability to acquire servants from Mexico at a reasonable price.

As a Sudanese court handed down a 15-day jail sentence for a British women convicted of allowing school children to name a teddy bear after The Prophet of
Islam, Mattel Toys announced today it would delay the launch of its much-anticipated ‘Tickle Me Muhammad’ toy line.

The teacher, Gillian Gibbons, 54, narrowly escaped 40 lashes, six months in prison and a fine, thanks to the mercy of the Islamic court which instead commended her to the care of the Sudanese penal system where she’ll be one of 1,200 women and children incarcerated in a mosquito-infested prison built to hold about 200.

A Mattel spokesman said the Sudan teddy bear case has caused the company to “rethink the propriety of the planned pre-Christmas release of Tickle Me Muhammad,” which it described as “a cuddly adorable friend, with a long plush beard and a puffy turban, who laughs uncontrollably when you touch him almost anywhere.”
